It's been a hard day's night...
France said "No" to the European Constitution. We, at Aeiou, believed this text was not perfect, but good enough to start - at last ! - thinking about Europe as a political space. I will not enumerate laboriously all the arguments we tried to defend here, but just a word to tell you how sad we are about this vote (well, not every one at Fluctuat.net, as a majority of our collaborators voted "No", and we do understand their arguments... but we still think it was not the moment to take this posture). For now, we hope that Europe will stand up and manage to pop out this crisis. And we'll be back on Excuse my french with more posts, after a rough month of may. LINK YES !
We are having a great time (??) trying to convince our french readers they should vote YES to the Treaty establishing a Constitution for Europe... That may explain why we didn't do more posts on Excuse my french lately... More news very soon.
